Welcome Message

Welcome to Memorial International School of Tirana, where 330+ students learn and develop in a challenging and nurturing multicultural environment. MIST has over 20 nationalities and 15 mother-tongue languages represented in the school community. Founded in 2001, and has so far proven its presence as one of the leading international schools in Albania.

As a Cambridge school, we understand what best produces proficiency in the skills and attributes that are critical to success. Literacy: including reading, writing, and speaking with confidence and persuasiveness; Numeracy: mathematics and logical thinking; Empiricism: through scientific inquiry; and Technology: using tools that enhance learning.

Through dynamic cycles of inquiry, action and reflection MIST teachers enable and support students throughout their journey as they develop the approaches to learning they need – for both academic and personal success. They support and cater to the needs of the students through fully differentiated lesson, stimulating learning environments and a variety of teaching strategies.

We are looking forward to welcoming you and your family to MIST.

Most of the teachers are good professionals using modern teaching methodology, technology, organizing interactive lessons and extracurricular activities are changing year after year. Classes are small and students have to continuously strive for achievements with lessons being continuously (internally) inspected aiming at quality assurance as well as rigorously observed curriculum implementation.

The reason why I like Mist is because of the British curriculum that helps students to learn and be prepared for life. I believe that the structure of this program helps build motivation through their studies and nurtures their love of learning.

Both of my children have enjoyed and benefited from their time at MIST. The care shown for the children by all the teachers and the staff is of enormous academic benefit, while the small class sizes are clearly to my mind even just as important.

As an American living temporarily in Tirana, I really appreciated the professionalism and efficiency of the MIST staff. My two daughters loved the small class sizes and their very wonderful teachers.
