Robert Brice

Head of Primary

Mr Brice holds a Postgraduate teaching qualification (PGCE) for primary schools as well as the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH). He has been teaching for more than 30 years and has taught in schools in England, Malawi, Bermuda, Kuwait, Yemen, Qatar and the Republic of Congo. When he is not teaching Mr Brice enjoys card games, model making, walking, golf and lawn bowls.

Angela Kerpi

Year 5 Teacher

Ms Kerpi attended Temple University where she completed her bachelor's degree in early childhood education with a specialism in special education. She is licensed to teach kindergarten through 4th grade as well as special education (k-8). She has taught in the United states and now Albania. Anxhela enjoys learning about new cultures, trying various foods, hiking, and exploring.

Besjana Hysa

Year 5 Teacher

Ms Hysa holds a bachelor’s degree in Preschool and Primary Education as well as Radiology. She also has a master’s degree in Continuing Education. She is licensed to teach through kindergarten to fifth grade. In her free time Besjana likes travelling and learning about different cultures. She also likes reading, especially books related to science

Blerta Dallashi

Year 6 Teacher

Ms Dallashi holds a bachelor’s degree in Preschool and Primary Education, as well as a master’s diploma in Teaching. She has been teaching for almost 5 years now. Blerta is keen on reading and travelling, she enjoys doing sports and acting comedy as well.

David Page

Year 3 Teacher

Mr Page holds a degree in Primary Education from Griffith University on the Gold Coast, Australia. Over his teaching career, he has taught in Australia before relocating to London, England. While in Australia he was an Ambassador for the Child Mindfulness & Mental Health program, assisting in its implementation at his school. Mr. Page comes from a sporting background, where he has explored various sports, until he found a passion for kayaking. Further in his career he was given the opportunity to represent his country at the Youth Olympics and World Titles. These days in his free time he enjoys traveling, sampling local cuisines and surfing various breaks around the world.

Daniel Watson

Year 6 Teacher

Daniel Watson was raised in a diplomatic family travelling and experiencing the world since birth. After finishing a Bachelor of Education and a Masters in Education in Australia, Daniel began his career as a Primary educator overseas. He brings 12 years of experience teaching a variety of subjects from his posts in Vietnam, Colombia, Indonesia, Switzerland, and most recently U.S.A.. He has held roles in both administration and teaching alike. He enjoys hiking, snowboarding and surfing in his spare time.

Gino Moio

Year 4 Teacher

Mr Moio earned his license to teach professionally in 2009 after successfully completing his bachelor's degree in elementary education. He is licensed to teach kindergarten through sixth grade as well as ESL (k - 12). In 2017 he earned his master's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. Mr Moio has been teaching for eight years. He has taught in the U.S.A, Spain, Taiwan, and Albania. He is an avid traveler, exercise enthusiast, and loves learning foreign languages.

Ina Elezi

Art Teacher

Mrs Elezi graduated in Art from the University of Tirana. She holds a postgraduate and a scientific master diploma in the branch of Graphical Design. She worked for five years in the main theater of Tirana city as a scenographer and costume designer. Throughout this period she put on theater stage shows and exhibition in support to well-known Albanian actors and stage managers. She has also worked voluntarily in the institution `Ramaza Kabashi` dedicated to blinded children. Ina has been involved in several painting exhibitions and enjoys creating her own art in her free time.

Iris Prini

Year 4 Teacher

Ms Prini holds a bachelor’s degree in Preschool and Primary Education, as well as a Professional Master’s Diploma in Teaching. She is currently studying a Master of Science in Counselling Psychology and Pedagogy. In her free time Iris enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her niece and nephews.

Kate (Hye Jin) Kang

EYFS Teacher

Miss Kang holds a postgraduate teaching qualification for Primary schools from St.Mary's University, Twickenham,London. She has been working in Eyfs nearly 14 years in International schools in South Korea as well as in school in the UK. She loves travelling around the world and walking in the park in her spare time.

Jola Gjini

ICT & Robotics Teacher

Ms Gjini holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Informatics, and a master’s degree in Computer and Information Systems Security. Jola is an experienced ICT teacher with a background in the education management industry. As well as teaching primary ICT and Robotics at MIST, Jola is currently working as an IT expert at the General Directory of Turgut Ozal Education. Jola is a certified Robotics teacher on Arduino, NXT Mindstorms and LEGO Mindstorms.

Klajdi Aruci

P.E Teacher

Mr Aruci holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Activity and Fitness from the Sports University of Tirana as well as a master’s degree as a Teacher of Physical Education from Marin Barleti University. He also works in a fitness gym and in his free time enjoys reading, travelling and doing physical activities.

Louise Benton

Year 1 Teacher

Miss Benton holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nottingham and a postgraduate teaching qualification (PGCE) for primary schools from Newman University, Birmingham. She has been teaching in an infant school in the UK for four years. In her free time, Miss Benton enjoys travelling, swimming and spending time with her family and friends.

Louise Culshaw

Year 2 Teacher

Ms Culshaw holds a bachelor's degree in Film from London Metropolitan University and a PGCE teaching qualification. She also has training as a speech therapist and has worked in Special needs education. Ms Culshaw previously worked in Panama and enjoys travelling. She has two daughters in the UK

Nexhmije Lusha

Year 3 Teacher

Ms Lusha holds a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature and a master degree in teaching English Language and Literature. She is very passionate to know more about teaching. That's why she has done different training like: Teaching kids with special needs, teaching in international schools etc. Also she has been taking part as a poster presenter in the Education Today Conference 2018. When she is not teaching she enjoys reading different books and also doing community service.

Ornela Tabaku

School Psychologist

Ms Tabaku holds a bachelor’s degree in Counselling Psychology and Pedagogy and a master’s degree in Teaching Social Science.For two years she has been working as a shadow teacher with a down syndrome child and at the same time has been working as a part-time lecturer for almost 4 years at the Education Science Department/ Beder University.She is licenced to teach Social Sciences in high school too. Ms.Tabaku has two published articles in BJES jurnal as part of “Challenges In Education And Social Sciences For The 21st Century” (ICESS) 6th and 7th Conferences.

Pamela Arnold Haxhiaj

Year 2 Teacher

Mrs Haxhiaj graduated with high honors from Michigan State University (USA) with a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development and concentration in Language Arts. She also holds a Master's Degree in Teaching and Curriculum from Michigan State University. Mrs Haxhiaj was enrolled in a year-long course for Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages through the University of North Carolina Greensboro. She has taught at an International School in Beijing, China, and she has taught primary grades for over 10 years in the USA. When she's not teaching, Mrs Haxhiaj enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and playing cards.

Sarah Ballaman

Year 3 Teacher (Maternity Leave)

Ms Ballaman has a postgraduate teaching qualification (PGCEi) and a TESOL Cambridge Certificate. With a background in Theatre Arts (BA HONS) she began her teaching career as a Drama coordinator in an International School in Indonesia. As well as those 6 years experience she has spent the last 7 years in Spain, Taiwan and Albania as both a language teacher and a Primary Form Teacher. She currently advises the primary student council and enjoys organizing school events. When not in the classroom Ms Ballaman spends her free time cycling, traveling, and skiing.

Luljeta Dalipi

Albanian Language Teacher

Ms Dalipi has a degree and teaching qualification in Primary Education. She is one of the longest serving staff at Memorial International School of Tirana, having worked here for more than 15 years. When she is not teaching, Luljeta enjoys reading and spending time with her family.

Klea Koni

Year 1 Teacher

Ms Klea has studied English in the Faculty of Foreign Languages, University of Tirana and has a scientific master degree in Teaching English. She has been teaching English to students of all ages, including adults. She loves reading and writing. In her free time, Ms Klea likes learning foreign languages,travelling and doing physical activities.

Sonila Tola

ESL Teacher

Ms Tola holds a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature and a master’s degree in Teaching English.She has been working here at Mist since 2018. Her hobbies include reading books, travelling and swimming. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Ina Kamberi

Dance Teacher

Ms Kamberi holds a Bachelor and master’s degree in Choreography at Arts University/Faculty of Scenic Arts. During 2014-2015 she has worked as choreographer at “Let’s Dance Studio” for all ages.For a period of two years she has been working as a dance teacher at “Faik Konica “and now she has been part of our school since 2018.She has represented Albania in many countries in different dance genres. In her free time she likes jogging, travelling. Her hobbies are shopping and photography.

Gilberta Kuriqi

Primary/Middle School French Teacher

Ms Kuriqi holds a Bachelor’s degree in French Literature and Civilization and a Scientific Master’s degree in Teaching .She has been working here at MIST since 2017.During the summer she worked as a volunteer in a summer camp with children of different ages where she taught origami, a passion of hers . Reading , travelling, learning new languages and listening to french and latin music are some of her hobbies. When she’s not teaching, she loves spending time with her nephews and her niece

Lavdie Bakiu

Year 2-6 ESL Teacher

Ms Bakiu holds a Bachelor degree in Language and Literature and a Master degree in Teaching from Faculty of History and Philology, University of Tirana. She has completed a course from University of Los Andes, Colombia, about the works of Gabriel Garcia Marquez. She has worked a year in a high school (practice) and she has a short experience as an editor in a publishing house (editing textbooks). She has been part of various poetry competitions. She has been part of SABBAT 2017, a workshop for new writers, organised by the Ministry of Culture. She has published her poems in different literary magazines like " HAEMUS", Bucharest, Romania. She has participated in a conference for literary studies, organised by The Albanian Center of Literary Studies "Pjetër Budi" where she has published her study about the author Martin Camaj in the magazine "Pasqyra e t'rrfyemit". Her passions are reading, writing and travelling.
