Susanna PerkinsHead of Primary
Ms Perkins holds a bachelor’s degree and postgraduate teaching qualification (PGCE) for primary schools from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Education Management (international schools) from Oxford Brookes University. She is currently completing the NPQH (national qualification for head teachers) Ms Perkins started her teaching career 20 years ago in Wales (UK) and has since taught in schools in Romania, Hungary and Austria before coming to Albania. When she is not teaching, Ms. Perkins enjoys reading, travelling and spending time outdoors with her family.
Angela KerpiYear 5 Teacher
Ms Kerpi attended Temple University where she completed her bachelor's degree in early childhood education with a specialism in special education. She is licensed to teach kindergarten through 4th grade as well as special education (k-8). She has taught in the United states and now Albania. Anxhela enjoys learning about new cultures, trying various foods, hiking, and exploring.
Besjona HysaYear 5 Teacher
Ms Hysa holds a bachelor’s degree in Preschool and Primary Education as well as Radiology. She also has a master’s degree in Continuing Education. In her free time Besjana likes travelling and learning about different cultures. She also likes reading, especially books related to science
Blerta DallashiYear 6 Teacher
Ms Dallashi holds a bachelor’s degree in Preschool and Primary Education, as well as a master’s diploma in Teaching. She has been teaching for almost 4 years now. Blerta is keen on reading and travelling, she enjoys doing sports and acting comedy as well.

Mr Moio earned his license to teach professionally in 2009 after successfully completing his bachelor's degree in elementary education. He is licensed to teach kindergarten through 6th grade as well as ESL (k - 12). In 2017 he earned his master's degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. Mr Moio has been teaching for eight years. He has taught in the U.S.A, Spain, Taiwan, and now Albania. He is an avid traveler, exercise enthusiast, and loves learning foreign languages.
Ina EleziArt Teacher
Mrs Elezi graduated in Art from the University of Tirana. She holds a postgraduate and a scientific master diploma in the branch of Graphical Design. She worked for five years in the main theater of Tirana city as a scenographer and costume designer. Throughout this period she put on theater stage shows and exhibition in support to well-known Albanian actors and stage managers. She has also worked voluntarily in the institution `Ramaza Kabashi` dedicated to blinded children. Ina has been involved in several painting exhibitions and enjoys creating her own art in her free time.
Iris PriniEFYS Teacher
Ms Prini holds a bachelor’s degree in Preschool and Primary Education, as well as a Professional Master’s Diploma in Teaching. She is currently studying a Master of Science in Counselling Psychology and Pedagogy. In her free time Iris enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her niece and nephews.
Janet TowlsonEYFS Teacher
Ms Towlson holds a Certificate in Education awarded by Bristol University, and a Post graduate Advanced Diploma in Language and Literacy awarded by Cambridge University. She has had a wide and varied teaching career which spans 45 years. She has taught in Nepal, South Africa, Myanmar and Palestine. Janet enjoys travelling, reading, swimming, walking and spending time with family and friends.
Jola GjiniICT & Robotics Teacher
Ms Gjini holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Informatics, and a master’s degree in Computer and Information Systems Security. Jola is an experienced ICT teacher with a background in the education management industry. As well as teaching primary ICT and Robotics at MIST, Jola is currently working as an IT expert at the General Directory of Turgut Ozal Education. Jola is a certified Robotics teacher on Arduino, NXT Mindstorms and LEGO Mindstorms.

Mr Aruci holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Activity and Fitness from the Sports University of Tirana as well as a master’s degree as a Teacher of Physical Education from Marin Barleti University. He also works in a fitness gym and in his free time enjoys reading, travelling and doing physical Activities.

Miss Benton holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nottingham and a postgraduate teaching qualification (PGCE) for primary schools from Newman University, Birmingham. She has been teaching in an infant school in the UK for four years. In her free time, Miss Benton enjoys travelling, swimming and spending time with her family and friends.

Ms Tabaku holds a bachelor’s degree in Counselling Psychology and Pedagogy and a master’s degree in Teaching Social Science. For the past two years she has been working as a shadow teacher with a child who has down syndrome and has been working as a part-time lecturer at the Education Science Department.

Robert BriceYear 6 Teacher
Mr Brice holds a Postgraduate teaching qualification (PGCE) for primary schools as well as the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH). He has been teaching for more than 30 years and has taught in schools in England, Malawi, Bermuda, Kuwait, Yemen, Qatar and the Republic of Congo. When he is not teaching Mr Brice enjoys card games, model making, walking, golf and lawn bowls.
Sarah BallamanYear 3 Teacher
Ms Ballaman has a postgraduate teaching qualification (PGCEi) and a TESOL Cambridge Certificate. With a background in Theatre Arts (BA HONS) she began her teaching career as a Drama coordinator in an International School in Indonesia. As well as those 6 years experience she has spent the last 7 years in Spain, Taiwan and Albania as both a language teacher and a Primary Form Teacher. She currently advises the primary student council and enjoys organizing school events. When not in the classroom Ms Ballaman spends her free time cycling, traveling, and skiing.
Valbona DervishiLearning Support Teacher
Ms Dervishi holds a teaching degree in Social Studies secondary level. She has been teaching for more than 17 years and has formerly taught in schools in USA (mostly pre-k and kindergarten). In Albania, she has taught Geography to secondary students and kindergarten. If she is not teaching, Valbona enjoys walking, reading and cooking.
Luljeta DalipiAlbanian Language Teacher
Ms Dalipi has a degree and teaching qualification in Primary Education. She is one of the longest serving staff at Memorial International School of Tirana, having worked here for more than 15 years. When she is not teaching, Luljeta enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
